PURPOSE:To check a degree of heat transmission from a head liner to a cylinder head, by installing a coating layer consisting of ceramics on an inner wall surface of a cylinder head composed of a metal attaching the head liner consisting of the ceramics. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer 23 consisting of ceramics of PSZ or the like is formed on an inner circumferential surface and a lower surface 1b of a cylin drical part 1a of a cylinder head 1. And, a head liner 3 consisting of ceramics is fitted in this coating layer 23 via a pair of upper and lower positioning rings 12, while a heat-insulating gasket 16 is installed interposingly between an upper end face of the head liner 3 and the lower surface 1b provided with the coating layer 23. With this constitution, transmission of heat to be radiated to the cylin der head 1 from an outer wall surface of the head liner 3 via an air layer 24 is checkable by means of the coating layer 23. And, also heat to be transmit ted to the heat-insulating gasket 15 is restrainable to be transmitted to the cylinder head owing to the coating layer 23 as well. |
