PURPOSE:To improve greatly the productivity of magnetic heads by forming plural ferrite inserting grooves at the rear gap side of a 'Sendust(R)' block which is formed by butting the gap counter faces of a pair of block halves to each other and cutting said block after putting the ferrite into those grooves. CONSTITUTION:Plural ferrite inserting grooves 21 are formed at the side of a rear gap 16 of a 'Sendust(R)' block 15 at positions opposite to the track width control grooves. While a winding groove 23 is formed to a ferrite bar 22, and this bar 22 is cut into plural parts to obtain the ferrite plates 24. These plates 24 are put into the grooves 21 and adhered to each other by an adhesive. Thus an assembled matter 25 is obtained. Then the matter 25 is at dotted lines A to obtain core chips 19. The necessary after-processing is applied to the chip 19 to obtain a magnetic head. In such a way, the productivity can be greatly improved for magnetic heads. |
