PURPOSE:To attain the degaussing with no power supply by pushing a push- button of a degaussing to set a degaussing position after putting a magnetic disk cassette into the degausser in order to start the degaussing and the revolving a magnetic disk with the charging force of a spring via a push-button. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk 3 held in a cassette 1 is set into the slit of a degausser along an inserting guide 8. Then a push-button is pushed to open a slide member 2 which covers the 2nd opening part B for insertion of magnetic head of the cassette 1 by means of a hook member 11 of the degausser. Then the cassette 1 is set at the degaussing position, and a center hole 4' of the disk 3 is fitted to a rotary shaft of the degausser at the 1st opening part A of the center core of the cassette 1. Then the disk 3 is held between a pat 12 and a degaussing head at the part B. The disk 3 is revolved by the charging force of a reset spring 10 produced by the pressure of the push button. Thus the degaussing is carried out. A power supply is needed when an electromagnetic head is used to the degaussing head. Then a miniature degausser using no power supply is obtained by using a permanent magnet. |
