PURPOSE:To realize adjustment of a blade edge position of a tool by providing a main shaft with a boring tool equipped with a compensating system of a blade edge position and putting said system in a predetermined motion through relative movement of a main shaft head and a table. CONSTITUTION:A tip holder 17, to be fitted with a tip on its front edge, is installed movably in the radial direction on the front end face of a main body 15 of a boring tool through a dovetail groove 16. A gear shaft 23 provided with a projecting click 25 is supported in the main body 15 and a screw gear 22 on the gear shaft 23 is engaged with a screw gear 21 on a screw shaft 20 combined with the tip holder 17 by means of a screw. At adjusting a blade edge position, a main shaft is stopped at a position where a click 25 turns downward, an engagement element is put into contact with the click 25, then a circular motion is given to a table through numerical control to rotate the screw shaft 23 through the click 25. Rotation of the screw shaft 23 is transmitted to the screw shaft 20 through screw gears 21, 22 and the tip holder 17 is moved. |
