PURPOSE:To measure the concentration of antigen or antibody accurately, by inputting a beam of coherent light, which is converged in a linear state, into a cell containing antigen and antibody reacting liquid, detecting scattered light from different converging points, and obtaining the average value of the intensity fluctuations of the scattered light beams. CONSTITUTION:Luminous flux 2 from an He-Ne gas laser 1 as coherent light is split into luminous fluxes 4 and 5 by a semitransparent mirror 3. The luminous flux 4 is inputted to a cell 8 containing antigen and antibody reacting liquid with a linear converging point F formed through a collimator lens 6 and a cylindrical lens 7. The scattered light at the converging point F is detected by both an optical fiber array 10 and a photodiode array. Each detected value signal is stored in first memories 14-1-14-N. The luminous flux 5 is stored in a memory 19 and corrected by output intensity. The signals are sequentially taken out of the memories 14-1-14-N and 19. The power spectrum density of the intensity fluctuation of the scattered light is obtained and stored in second memories 22-1-22-N. A plurality of values in the memories 22-1-22-N are averaged by an operating part 24. The result is displayed by a printer 25 or a CRT 26. |
