The bottle labelling machine has an adjustable, label transfer station to accommodate bottles of varying diameter. Adjustment is carried out by releasing a locking lever (49), holding a gear housing (26) to a fixed housing (34). Couplings (51,53) are then disengaged using handle provided (50). The unit and gear housing can then be rotated with the aid of a notched, control wheel (31) mounted on a tongue shaped extension (36) to the gear housing, which contains a label container. The wheel notch engages a peg (32) connected to a fixed plate (33) and is relayed by a rod (42) to the gear housing. The phase angle is then corrected with the aid of regulating plates (59) and an adjuster.
