The toy is formed from a base 1 on which is fastened at the point 3 a part 2 with the general shape of a fan. This part 2 consists of any flexible material in which the required relative rigidity is obtained by means of concertina-type folding. The opening of the fan may be modified by means of a clip, a rubber band, or any other equivalent known means. This toy is provided particularly for being thrown vertically by means of a foot or knee movement. The descent movement of the toy after it has been thrown upwards is braked by the opening of the fan-shape part. <IMAGE>
