PURPOSE:To change the rotating speed differences of upper and lower rolls stepless by suitably changing the revolutions of the differential gear of upper and lower roll drive mechanism combining planetary gears and differential gear. CONSTITUTION:A main drive gear 15 is operated to revolve a lower side roller drive shaft 12 in the arrow (a) direction by way of a reduction gear 14. A sun gear 20 and planetary arm 21 are then revolved in the arrow (b) direction by way of a gear 19. Next, when a differential gear 23 is revolved in the same direction as the sun gear 20 at the same time speed by way of a reduction gear 17 and gear 28 by operating an auxiliary drive machine 18, the rotating speeds of upper and lower rolls 1, 2 become the same. At this time, the differential gear 23 is revolved with a slight delay from the sun gear 20. Then, the planetary gear 25 rotate in the arrow (c) direction owing to the speed differences of the boths 20, 23 and the rotating speed of the gear 22 slightly delays from the sun gear 20. Hence, the upper roll 1 may be revolved with a slight delay from the lower roll 2. |
