摘要 PURPOSE:To detect amounts of light beams on both straight lines in the direction of width and in the longitudinal direction efficiently at the same time, by processing a signals obtained by one-dimensional photoelectric conversion elements by a signal processing means, which outputs the shape of a thick plate. CONSTITUTION:A measuring device is mounted on a gate type bridge or a structure, whose rigidity is high, at a position several meters higher than a hot thick plate 11. The image of light emitted from the thick plate 11 is formed by an optical lens 12. The light is split into the directions by a semitransparent mirror 13. The images of the split light beams are formed on one-dimensional photoelectric conversion elements 14 and 15. One photoelectric conversion element 14 detects the light on the straight line in the longitudinal direction of the thick plate 11. The other element 15 detects the light on the straight line in the direction of the width. Therefore, the light from the thick plate 11 can be simultaneously detected in the width direction and in the longitudinal direction. Since the thickness plate 11 is hot, it is brighter than the surrounding part. The edge of the thick plate 11 can be judged by magnitude of the detected amount of light.
