PURPOSE:To obtain a ventilation fan capable of efficiently discharging soot and the like by providing a pent roof functioning to curve the external air flowing down from an exhaust port to suppress the rise-up of soot and the like, at the upper part of a suction port formed at the lower end of a duct suspending down from a blasting mechanism disposed at the upper part of a range. CONSTITUTION:When cooking is carried out in a range 40 using a pan 57, soot and waste gas are sucked up into a duct 38 through a suction port 41, passing through a filter 43, rising up within the duct 38, passing through an elbow 25 via a fan 17 for exhaustion, and being discharged out of the house through a pipeline duct 35. Air which has been sucked up from the outdoor by a fan 22 for suction via the elbow 25 is blown off downwardly through an exhaust port 32 of a switch case 28, and comes into collision with the pent house 46 curvedly flows toward the direction shown by arrow. Upon this occasion, soot and the like from the pan 57 are suppressed of the rise-up by wrapping a part of soot and the like which leak from the suction port 41 by an air current. Accordingly, all of the soot and the like are sucked through the suction port 41. Further, a part of supply air is blown off through a blow-off port 31, and hence the cooking work condition can be greatly improved. |
