The invention relates to a plant growth regulator which contains 3-isononyloxypropyl-ammonium-methyl phosphonate as active substance in an amount of 0.2 to 95% by weight and solid or liquid carrier or filler and, if appropriate, other auxiliaries, preferably a surfactant and/or a tackifier, in an amount to make up to 100% by weight.
