Machine for the packaging of bulk materials in packaging containers, consisting of a unit for supplying the empty packaging containers, with a following device for introducing these into a first conveyor device, in which the packaging containers are filled by metering devices arranged above them and subsequently the filled bulk material is compacted, and with a second conveyor device, in which the filled packaging containers are closed by means of devices arranged on it. The aim of the invention is to reduce the high energy requirement and lower the outlay in terms of mechanical engineering. The object on which the invention is based is to achieve an approximately uniform load in the main drive and to arrange the individual conveyors relative to one another in such a way that separate push-over or transfer members are not necessary. The object is achieved, according to the invention, in that, after the packaging-container supply unit, a first conveyor device is arranged in a stepwise rotatable manner in a horizontal plane and a second conveyor device is a arranged in a stepwise rotatable manner in the vertical plane, both relative to one another in such a way that the paths of the receiving chambers of the two conveyor devices intersect penetratively in a horizontal plane. <IMAGE>
