PURPOSE:To utilize facilities effectively by using one inverter to start another inverter. CONSTITUTION:Direct-current electric power generated by a battery stack is converted by two inverters 3 into AC power, which is supplied to an electric power system 5 through a boosting transformer 4. During this battery stack actuation, the lower-side inverter is used as a rectifier so as to supply a minimum operating current to the upper-side inverter and holds the stack voltage constant. When the actuation is finished, the inverter is changed in polarity by a polarity switch 11 and used as an inverter to supply electric power to the system. In this case, a detected voltage is inverted in polarity for a lower- side converter, so the output of a constant voltage control circuit 16 is saturated to a small side. Consequently, a constant current control circuit 14 is selected and the output of the battery operates as a constant voltage source in the system; and the two inverters perform independent current control to convert the output of the battery into AC electric power according to a set value. |
