<p>PURPOSE:To enable discharge of king-size document into a discharge tray in a picture image recorder arranged with an automatic document feeder, by providing a retractable guide member for document to be discharged at the tip of discharge tray in automatic document feeder. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper discharged through discharge roller 6 into a sorter 10 is deflected through deflecting means 14 to main tray 12 or classification lead-in section 11. The recording paper guide to said section 11 is fed through an endless belt, a feed roller, etc. into lifting path 13 and classified into the classification bin 15 in sorter 10. While the document X is discharged into document discharge tray 5. A guide member 40 provided at the tip of said tray 5 will assist containment of king-size document and formed into L- shape where the leading edge section 40a is arranged above the classification bin 15b. Consequently, the king-size document X is guided by the guide member 40 and carried into the region of the classification bin 15b while overhanging but not contacting with the bin 15b.</p> |
