PURPOSE:To detect humidity precisely without making a detecting circuit complicated by connecting a fixed resistor to a humidity-sensitive substance in series and measuring the combined resistance of the humidity-sensitive substance and the fixed resistor. CONSTITUTION:The fixed resistor 2 is connected to the humidity-sensitive element 1 in series and a bias power supply 3 for applying bias voltage is connected to the element 1 and the resistor 2 through a voltage dividing resistor 5 and connected also to a resistance measuring device 4. The electric resistance value of the humidity sensitive element 1 which is changed in accordance with the change of temperature is detected as a combined resistance value Rx with the fixed resistor 2 and converted into Log Rx to detect the humidity. |
