PURPOSE:To improve the graininess, processing stability and aging stability and to extend the exposure range by using specified silver halide particles and enhancing an interlayer effect given. CONSTITUTION:When at least two silver halide emulsion layers are formed on a support to manufacture a photosensitive silver halide material, singly dispersed silver halide particles having <=20% coefft. of fluctuation of the parti cle size distribution are used as >=70wt% of all the silver halide particles in at least one of the emulsion layers, and an interlayer effect given is regulated to 1.10-2.00. The silver halide particles are core/shell type particles each consisting of two or more layers having different silver iodide contents. The silver iodide content in the cores is 6-30mol%, the average particle size of the particles is 0.2-3mum, and the silver iodide content in the shells is 0-6mol%. |
