PURPOSE:To recover separated toner efficiently without scattering it in a machine by providing a toner guide plate made of an elastic body which is fixed inside a toner box at one terminal and contacts the flank of a cleaning blade at the other terminal. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning blade 3 has its front-end corner part pressed against the peripheral surface of a photosensitive drum 1, so residual toner on the peripheral surface is scraped automatically through the rotation of the photosensitive drum to fall. The toner guide plate 5 is made of a blade type elastic member and its upper end part presses the flank of the cleaning blade 3 to maintain a contact state. The cleaning blade 3 is rubbed against the peripheral surface of the photosensitive drum 1 to scrape residual toner down, but the toner guide plate 5 contacts the flank of the cleaning blade 3 at the toner fall side, so separated toner all falls along the toner guide plate 5 without scattering in the cleaning box 2a and is stored in a toner box 4. |
