A pneumatic tyre with belt (B) for a motorcycle has as cover reinforcement a carcass (C) which is composed of at least one inlay in which cords of organic fibre are arranged at an angle of 70 DEG to 90 DEG with respect to the central circumferential line (0-0) of the tyre. Its belt (B) is composed of a belt layer in which a cord with a modulus of elasticity of not less than 600 kg/cm<2> is arranged in a helical shape at a small angle of inclination ( theta ) with respect to the central circumferential line (0-0) of the tyre. The belt (B) of the tyre is formed by at least two belt segments which are divided at the central circumferential line (0-0) of the tyre and have a helical winding made of at least one cord, and its width corresponds to 0.5 to 1.1 times the width of the tread, the directions of the cords in the segments being positioned opposite one another with respect to the central circumferential line (0-0). <IMAGE>
