PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a crank shaft by constituting the titled device so that a thick wall part opposed to a thin wall part of a crank arm part is quenched satisfactorily, and a quenching crack due to an overheat is prevented by utilizing a driving power to the crank shaft. CONSTITUTION:A saddle type type coil 13 is set to a width shorter than a length of journal parts 30a-e of a crank shaft W, and provided so as to movable in the axial direction of the crank shaft W by the crank shaft W on the surface of the journal parts 30a-e. Also, this device is provided with a crank shaft driving device 7 for turning the crank shaft W around the journal parts 30a-e, and a control device 23 for moving the coil 13 in the direction separated from a thin wall part 32a of each crank arm part 21, by interlocking with turning of the crank shaft W. |
