The invention relates to an arrangement for automatically keeping constant the thickness of the layer of the marking lines, in particular the lane lines on carriageways or the like and has the purpose of providing an arrangement of this type with which the control of the flow of material can be achieved significantly more directly and more quickly than previously.
<??>According to the invention, it is proposed for this purpose to arrange in such an arrangement in the feed line of the marking material extending from a pressurised reservoir container to the application device (spray gun) a variable resistor whose actuation element is actuated via an actuation motor which is connected to a control device in which a signal corresponding to the set through-flow is formed from the entered values for line width and thickness and from a signal which is fed from a speed measuring device and corresponds to the travel speed, and is compared with the signal which is fed from a through-flow measuring system and corresponds to the actual through-flow and in which an output signal corresponding to the set/actual value deviation is formed, the said output signal being fed to the actuation motor which adjusts the actuation element of the resistor in such a way that the through-flow varies in such a way that the actual through-flow is approximated to the set through-flow.
