The invention relates to a method for producing support, strut or rib structures or the like (1) which are used in the technique of modelling vehicle construction. This is done by firm connection, especially by welding or soldering, strut-like supports (3) to one another and/or to a substructure (2) at individual mounting points (5). Particularly in order to prevent the occurrence of intrinsic stresses and distortion, the mounting points (5) at the corner regions (6) of the supports (3) are preferred as elements (5) having a shape and extent in the form of points. The elements (5), in the form of points, of the individual supports (3) are fitted resting on surfaces of the supports which are to be connected thereto and of the substructure, and a spot-welded joint or soldered joint or bonded connection is subsequently carried out at the contact points (13, 14). <IMAGE>
