Fastened in the torch body (Bk) of a TIG welding torch is a non-consumable electrode (WE) which is enclosed in an annular manner at the front torch end by a gas nozzle (Gd). Inert gas is admitted to the welding point via this gas nozzle (Gd) during the spot welding. So that welding can also be carried out with sufficient inert-gas shielding through narrow openings at different distances from the welding point, the gas nozzle (Gd) is arranged in a flexibly spring-mounted manner on a gas-nozzle guide (Gdf) fastened to the front end of the torch body (Bk). <IMAGE>
