PURPOSE:To increase the density of recording and to improve reliability by using the monomolecular layer of constituting material or the cumulative film thereof to constitute at least one layer among a layer A consisting of a coloring agent, layer B consisting of an auxochromous agent and light absorptive layer. CONSTITUTION:The laminated body constituted of the layer A 2 consisting of a leuco substance of a dye, the layer B 4 of the auxochromous agent consisting of a phenolic compd. and the light absorptive layer 3 consisting of the light absorptive material interposed between the layer A and the layer B is supported on the substrate 1. IR rays are irradiated on such layers to absorb or sublimate the light absorptive layer and to perforate said layers in desired position, by which the layer A and the layer B are partly brought into contact with each other to induce coloration reaction. Colored spots are thus formed and information is recorded. At least one layer among the layer A, the layer B and the light absorptive layer is formed of the monomolecular film of the constituting materials or the cumulative film thereof, by which the molecular distribution and orientation in the film are made uniform and pinholes and uneven film thickness are decreased. The reduction in the film thickness are decreased. The reduction in the film thickness is made possible as well. The higher density and higher reliability of recording are thus attained. |
