PURPOSE:To realize a shutter function compactly by relatively moving a filter adjacently arranged to the pickup surface of a solid-state image pickup device to the pickup surface. CONSTITUTION:A filter 16 is shifted vertically in response to voltage VV1 and VV2 applied to bimorphs 22. The surface of a cell 100 is light-shielded by a metallic evaporating layer 102 in an element such as aluminum, optical openings 104 are shaped to one parts of the layer 102, and the ratio that the optical opening sections occupy in one picture element in an element for an image pickup device extends over approximately 20-50% at most, normally, approximately 30% or less, under the present condition of a technique. Two segments 110a and 110b are disposed per one picture element in the color filter 16 arranged to the upper section of an image pickup cell array 14. One segment 110b contains a material shielding light, and the other segment 110b is constituted by a material transmitting light. |
