A method for the multiple stage co-condensing of vapors by coolants in which each condensation stage comprises a separate co-condenser, characterized in that the coolant is cycled in each condensation stage in a circulation system of its own through the respective co-condenser, the overflow of each co-condenser circulation system is fed into the co-condenser circulation system operated at the next higher temperature, and the overflowing diluted coolant is discharged just from the co-condenser circulation system operated at the highest temperature.
