PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of an electrode and the periphery thereof, an article to be recorded or the feed mechanism of said article, by providing the base of an ink supply part in a revolvable manner and changing a jet direction at the times of start operation, stop operation and maintenance work. CONSTITUTION:Ink particles 13 are injected toward an article to be recorded from a nozzle 1 and charged by a charging electrode 7 and deflected by a deflection electrode 8. Recording ink particles 1 fly while avoid a gutter 2 and are deflected so as to be adhered to the article to be recorded while ink particles 13 not used in recording are recovered by the gutter 2. At the times of start operation, stop operation and maintenance work, the base 3 of an ink supply part is revolved by 90 deg. to prevent the jet direction of ink particles from directing to the electrodes 7, 8 and the position of the article to be recorded. |
