PURPOSE:To form successively a steel strip to a desired shape and to make a titled forming equipment simple in construction, small in size and low in cost by constituting said equipment of a smaller number of center bend rolls and cage rolls. CONSTITUTION:The steel strip S which is adequately trimmed at the width is continuously supplied to the forming equipment. The strip S is formed to a through-shape section by the cooperation of the center bend rolls 1CB, 2CB, 3CB and cage rolls CR. The strip S is then formed to a U-shaped section by the center bend roll 4CB and the cage rolls CR. The strip is then bulged by the rolling reduction to reduce the U-shaped vertical diameter while the top edge of the U-shaped section is bent inward by fin pass rolls 1F, 2F, 3F. The side edges of the U-shaped section of the strip S are bulged in the transverse direction and the circular section is easily formed. |
