<p>A pneumatic tire (10) having a tread portion (11) divided into axially spaced lands (25), (26), (27), (28), (29) by at least four circumferential straight grooves (21), (22), (23), (24). One of the lands (27) is in the form of a mid-circumferential rib, and the other lands (25), (26), (28), (29) can be divided into circumferentially spaced blocks (36). The axial widths (W1) (W2) (W3) of the lands and the axial widths (X1) and (X2) grooves on each side of the mid-circumferential plane (M-M) increase axially outwardly from said plane, and the width (W1), (W2) or (W3) of any land (27) (26 and 28) respectively is approximately twice the width (X1) or (X2) of its respective adjacent outer groove (21 and 22) or (23 and 24) respectively.</p> |
