<p>Homopolymers and copolymers which have an average molecular weight of at least 2,000 and which contain at least 5 mol %, relative to the polymer, of at least one structural element of the formula I or II <IMAGE> (I) <IMAGE> <IMAGE> (II) in which R and R' are independently alkylene, cycloalkylene, aralkylene or arylene, R1 is halogen, nitro, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, phenyl or aralkyl, R2 is a direct bond, -O-, -S-, methylene, carbonyl or alkylidene, R3 is hydrogen, aroyl or defined as R1, and as integers a is 0 to 3, b is 0 to 4, c is 0 to 5, d is 0 to 5 and q is 0 or 1. The polymers are sensitive to radiation and can be used for the production of protective coatings or photographic relief images.</p> |
