<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the dimension of the whole apparatus by driving-controlling a rear-wheel steering mechanism by using an electric motor. CONSTITUTION:A motor control means 8 calculates the angular speed by differentiating the steering-angle signal supplied from a detector 6, and the lateral acceleration speed G is determined according to the car speed corresponding patterns preset according to the angular-speed signal and the car-speed signal supplied from a car-speed detector 7. The revolution shaft 5a of an electric motor 5 is controlled according to the lateral acceleration speed G, and rear wheels 3 are steering-controlled with a desired steering ratio. In other words, when a car is in low speed range, the rear wheels 3 are set in reverse phase to the front wheels 1, and when the car is in high-speed range, the rear wheels 3 are set in the same phase to the front wheels 1.</p> |
