PURPOSE:To obtain a cell can whichuses a negative pole can thin and having large strength by forming the negative pole can of an amorphous material whose inside surface if copper plated. CONSTITUTION:A negative pole can 16 is formed of an amorphous thin material 8 whose inside surface is copper plated 10 and outside surface is nickel plated 9 while a positive pole 1 is formed of, for instance, nickel plated iron (or stainless steel). Thereby, even when thickness of the plate of the negative pole can is reduced to 1/2-1/5 of the former one, strength does not fall behind it instead being rather excellent in a liquid leakage property. Further, the cell contents can be so much increased as the plate thickness is reduced thus having a long life. |
