PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily alter the allocation specification of a mathematical function without altering the logic of a program, by holding the allocation processing content of the mathematical function in the form of a function information table and providing a function for rewriting said content. CONSTITUTION:In a document processing apparatus for performing the input/ editing or fair-coy/output of a text containing a numerical formula such as a function, not only the alteration of the size of a function mark region due to the rewriting of the function mark region determining parameter 406 of a function information table 309 but also the alteration of the positional relation between a function mark and argument or the alteration of the positional relation between arguments due to the same rewriting of a function region correction parameter 407 are respectively performed without going through the correction procedure of a program itself. Further, the function information table 309 has information at every function type obtained by classifying a function according to the allocation method thereof and, therefore, an existing function type new function mark can be added easily. |
