<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ion wind generation apparatus made stably operable for a long period of time by extending a washing cycle to a large extent, by arranging a front stage electrode pair forming a high electric field part in the windward of an ionization electrode. CONSTITUTION:Plural sets of flat plate shaped front stage electrode pairs 28, to which high voltage is applied by a high voltage power source 27, are arranged in the windward of an ionization electrode in parallel to a wind direction. By this mechanism coarse dust is collected by the front stage electrode pairs but not collected by the leading end parts of opposed dust collection electrodes and the generation of inverse corona is lowered markedly to reduce the increase of unpleasant sound or ozone and a washing cycle is extended to a large extent.</p> |
