ILLUMINATOR FOR RECOGNITION OF WINDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To attain the automatic discrimination of types of winding works and the automatic switch of types of devices by setting linearly a filter for recognition and a projection means with a prescribed space secured between them and therefore recognizing the positions of minute holes of a video head containing a vapor deposition film as well as the form of this deposition film. CONSTITUTION:A projection means 14 consists of a hood 20 and an optical fiber 21. The fiber 21 is connected to an illumination light source 12 for recognition. The means 14 and a frosted glass filter 13 for recognition of holes are fixed to a substrate 6 via a holding means 22 on a straight line with a prescribed space against a TV camera 8 for recognition and the core of a video head. The light delivered from the light source 12 is supplied to the means 14 via the fiber 21 and stopped down by the hood 20 to be projected on the glass 15. This projected light is converted into the beams of all directions by the refraction due to the uneven surface and then irradiated to a core 2. The light refracted again at a vapor deposition part of the video head and the light transmitted through holes are made incident on the camera 8 for recognition.
