The impact and air transported sound absorbent panels are attached to the walls of dish-washing machines. The panels can be in a variety of forms but are all based on a multichannel plate filled with a high density granular material such as sand. Each plate has a series of thin equally spaced walls(23) along its length, the granular material (22) being sealed in by a cover plate(25). Some form of adhesive layer is laid on one side to allow attachment to the machine surfaces. A binder is included with the sand to prevent cavities forming during operation of the machine. The division walls can be corrugated and further noise absorbing layers added to either side. |
