The sheet material folds into a zigzag pattern, and comprises multiple parallel rectangular strips hinging together along their edges to fold into a packet. The end strip is pulled off at right angles to form a curtain. The strips comprise separate pieces of relatively stiff material (1), glued along the edges at one or both sides to flexible sheet material (2). One lengthwise edge of each strip can be arranged to overlap that of the next one.
