PURPOSE:A hollow, air-permeating conical roller and a spinning roller are used to increase twisting action on the yarn,m as the yarn moves toward the spinning end, thus producing a hard-twisted spun yarn. CONSTITUTION:A hollow, air-permeating conical roller 3 which has a minimum diameter at one end 3a and a spinning roller 10 are set so that a space 13 is formed. Staple fibers S are the from the opening 2 of the duct 1 above the space 13 and the twisted yarn T is continuously taken out of the spinning end 18 of the top of the space 13 at an angle of theta as a yarn Y. The twisting action is increased gradually, as the peripheral speed of the air-permeating roller 3 increases with the movement of the twisted fiber bundle T toward the spinning end 18. |
