The air-cooled vapour condenser comprises a fan ring, with an axial flow fan adapted to rotate within the fan ring about a perpendicular axis. A bundle comprising at least one row of tubes is mounted across one end of the fan ring with the tube axes inclined w.r.t. the horizontal. Vapour is introduced into the upper ends of the tubes and condensate is drained from the lower ends thereof. - Fins on the tubes extend parallel to the axis of rotation of the fan. There may be a pair of bundles with the axes of the tubes of the bundles extending in opposite directions to form a V therebetween. Each bundle consists of a single row of tubes, and each tube has parallel side walls which extend in the direction of air flow and which are considerably longer than the width of the tubes. (5pp Dwg.No.1/5) DEAB- DE3510277 C The condenser includes a bundle of separate tubes in rows, condensable vapour inlet, a condensate outlet, an axial blower and a slanted section. - A pair of tube bundles (14) form an inverted ''V'' shape and are located above the axial blower. Heat transfer plates (20-22) run parallel to the air flow direction. Each bundle consists of individual rows of pipes and each pipe has parallel side walls.
|
