Hot rolled steel strip shears - have turntable and spaced curved jaws for material guidance

The shears have two guide roller type knives, and turntable to position material roll vertical. Two curved jaws with integral rollers guide the material towards the cutter knives, which are alternatively of the guillotine type. A roll is placed on the turntable (20). A frame (13) supports the knives (10), pairs of draw rollers (9,11) curved jaws (2,3), a discharge arm (12) and a pressure mechanism (14,15). The pressure mechanism provides force for the curved jaws to press them against the roll. The first curved jaw (2) has pilot rollers (4) and rear rollers (5). A second curved jaw (3) has a pressure roller (21) to contact the material roll.
