PURPOSE:To make it possible to discharge the heavy oil easily and to save power required for heating the oil by a method wherein the high viscosity heavy oil in the storage tank is electrically and directly heated by a bottom heating duoble pipe and a side heating double pipe. CONSTITUTION:The bottom heating double pipe 1 and the side heating double pipe 8 are arranged within the high viscosity heavy oil storage tank 2. The bottom heating double pipe 1 comprises a coiled outer pipe 3 and a coiled inner pipe 5 which are provided with a plurality of oil inlet holes 4 and 6, respectively, and which are fixed to the bottom wall 2' of the tank 2 by means of a fitting metal 7 through an electrical insulator. The pipes 3 and 5 are heated electrically through an AC power source 14 so that the oil in the tank is fluidized to be introduced into the inner pipe 5 via the inlet holes 4 and 6 and is then discharged outside the tank 2 thrugh a valve 16. The side heating double pipe 8 is formed in the same manner as the bottom heating pipe. It is arranged vertically along the side wall 2'' of the tank 2 in a zigzag fashion and is heated electrically through the AC power source. |
