<p>PURPOSE:To produce a granular product coated with a resin layer and having thermoplastic properties as well as rubbery properties, from a vulcanized rubber waste, by dissolving a polystyrene resin in a solvent, adding small pieces of waste rubber, and removing the solvent from the mixture. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of a polystyrene resin is dissolved in a solvent, the obtained resin solution is added with 100-800pts.wt. of rubber chips, and the solvent is removed from the mixture to obtain the objective product. The solvent is e.g. methylene chloride. The rubber chip may have indefinite shape, however, its size is preferably <=10mm.</p> |
