PURPOSE:To make a better distribution of temperature in a space to be air conditioned by a method wherein a partition plate dividing an air passage into the upper and lower sections is arranged in a duct, the upper and lower air passage inlets are divided into the blowing outlet port and the sucking port and the air passage inlet port is provided with an air passage control part of a rotating air passage control plate. CONSTITUTION:A partition plate 12 divides an upper air passage 10 and a lower air passage 11 into the upper and lower sections, the upper air passage inlet and the lower air passage inlet port at the main body of air conditioner are further divided into four section by the partition wall 15, i.e. the upper blowing port opening 13, a lower blowing port opening 18, an upper suction port opening 14 and a lower suction port opening 19. The air passage control plate 16 changes over the upper and lower air passages 10 and 11 to the blowing air passage and the sucking air passage when the cooling and heating operation is changed over. This is constituted in such a way as an area of one quarter arcuate part of a circular plate is recessed around symmetrically with respect to the central point to make two portions and then it is rotated by 90 deg. each time by the driving stepping motor 17. |
