PURPOSE:To realize an efficient and economical method for measuring the performance of program by extracting significant data automatically in the stage that an accumulated program controlling device carries out each instruction and calculating, editing and outputting them. CONSTITUTION:A program to be evaluated, which is stocked in a storage device 1 is interpreted sequently by a logical device 2 and carried out. Each time an instruction is carried out, the count of instructions carried out by an addition mechanism, of each instruction cord of an excution instruction and of the number of access to the specified storage area of the storage device 1 is stored in a counter 4. The addition mechanism 3 outputs the required data through an output device 5, calculating and editting from various data necessary for evaluating the performance of programs, such as the number of excuted instruction. According to this constitution, the conventional human works to take out significant data from the original data become unnecessary and an efficient and economical method for measuring the performance of program is realized. |
