PURPOSE:To economically obtain an electrochemically active electrode plate by heating a mixture of Ni powder or NiO powder and plastic powder at high temperature. CONSTITUTION:Ni powder or NiO powder and plastic powder such as polyethylene or ABS resin are mixed and filled in a container. The mixture is heated in an atmosphere of hydrogen at high temperature to remove plastic powder by evaporation. A molding of the mixture can be used instead of the above mixed powder. By specifying particle sizes and mixing ratio of raw materials, pore volume, pore diameter, specific surface area, and mechanical strength of a sinter obtained are easily controlled. By this process, desirable electrode plate for fuel cell can easily by produced. |
