PURPOSE:To securely fix a leaf spring to an armature without degrading the magnetic performance of an armature assembly, by a method wherein an armature is provided with a groove in its surface opposed to the second magnetic pole surface, and laser welding is performed in the direction from the bottom of the groove toward a leaf spring. CONSTITUTION:The armature supported by the leaf spring is provided in a magnetic gap defined by a pair of first magnetic pole surfaces substantially parallel to the moving direction of the armature and opposed to each other and the second magnetic pole surface substantially perpendicular to the first pole surfaces. The leaf spring 5 is fixed to a surface of the armature 4 which surface is opposed to a magnetic pole surface of a core 2a. The fixing is effected by performing laser welding in the direction of an arrow A, namely, in the direction from the bottom surface 15 of an inverted trapezoid groove 14 provided in the surface of the armature 4 in parallel with the leaf spring 15 toward the leaf spring 15. Accordingly, the surface of the leaf spring 5 opposed to the magnetic pole surface of the core 2a is maintained in a favorable state, so that the magnetic performance of the armature assembly can be maintained favorable. |
