PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in recording reproducing communication characteristics due to a fluctuation of a characteristic of parts and a change with the lapse of time by recording a test signal to plural channels, detecting an error from an ideal characteristic of a communication characteristic of a test signal and automatizing a signal waveform. CONSTITUTION:An input signal is divided into a channel by a plexer 2, mixers 5 and 6 mix a recording signal Sw from a signal processing circuit 7 and a test signal St from a test signal generator and record from heads 11 and 12 through FM modulators 31 and 32 to recording media. The recording signals are written from heads 13 and 14 through FM demodulating circuits 17 and 18 and A/D converters 19 and 20 to memories 21 and 22. The test signal is sent to test signal detecting circuits 23 and 24, recording reproducing communication characteristics are compared with the ideal characteristics and an error signal is outputted. Automatic equalizers 25 and 26 equalize a waveform of a reproducing signal based upon an error signal. A signal after the waveform is equalized is synthesized by a demultiplexer 27 and a reproduction output is executed through a D/A converter 28. |
