PURPOSE:A plastic film excellent in an effect of keeping freshness and an effect of deodorization and suitable for food packaging, obtained by adding a composition comprising an iron (II) compound and ascorbic acid to a resin and molding the mixture into a film. CONSTITUTION:An iron (II) compound (e.g., ferrous nitrate or ferrous chloride) is mixed with ascorbic acid at a weight ratio of about 1:0.02-0.03 and the obtained mixture is dissolved in water, dried by spray drying, freeze drying, or a like operation, and ground to form a composition comprising the iron (II) compound combined with ascorbic acid. About 0.5-5wt.% this composition is added to a resin (e.g., polyethylene or natural rubber), alum is added to the mixture and the resulting mixture is formed into the purpose plastic film. By packaging perishable foods with this film, their freshness can be stably kept. |
