It is constituted by at least two lips 3, 4 which are intrinsically resilient so that they move closer to each other elastically without action of any complementary means. These lips may provide between them a separation 5 which is not greater than the diameter of the metal core of the conductor to be stripped; they are formed from a material similar to that of the insulating sheath of this conductor and whose hardness is at least equal to that of this sheath and, in addition, to that of the said core of the conductor to be stripped. The invention finds application, especially in telephony, for stripping small-diameter conductors carrying small currents. <IMAGE>
