As in the main patent, associated with the main cam 4 for controlling the pushers 5 integral with the moving contacts 6 which are to rub on the fixed contacts 7, is an auxiliary cam 14 for actuating the carriage 15 which drives these movable contacts 6 in the transverse direction. However, here 15 is controlled positively, without any spring. For this purpose, 14 includes an even number of lobes 14a arranged in diametral pairs. When one of them acts on the boss 15a in order to lower the carriage in the figure, the other is accommodated in a pocket 15e. This arrangement avoids any system for returning the carriage 15 by spring, the reaction of which would have to be overcome in order to rotate the axle 3. <IMAGE>
