<p>PURPOSE:To improve quietness and surely prevent an extraneous substance from invading downwards, by connecting a downwardly opened intake duct to an intake port opened in the rear of an air cleaner, to reduce an unpleasant suction noise sufficiently. CONSTITUTION:An air cleaner 29 comprises an air cleaner box 25 and a front cover 26. They rear of the box 25 is located near the front of a steering shaft 7. The interior of the air cleaner 29 is divided into an upper and a lower chambers 36, 37 by an element 31. An external air intake port 38 is opened in the rear of the air cleaner box 25 which corresponds to the top of the upper chamber 36. An intake duct 39 extending down and opened downwards is connected to the intake port 38. External air sucked into the upper chamber 36 through the duct 39 is introduced into the lower chamber 37 from which the external air is sent to a carburetor 20 through a joint pipe 41.</p> |
